Tristan White is an undergraduate studying photography at Manchester School of Art.

During my time at university I have been heavily based around the city and exploring the life that Manchester has to offer, with a strong focus on architecture during my final year. I have had a particular focus on using large format in recent year and exploring the city with film. My practice explores documentary photography, making projects that aim to uncover the city life that I have experienced through my time living in an upcoming city.  This see’s my current work looking down a route of exploration to explore Manchester’s rapidly developing architectural scene. My focus is to explore the empty, abandoned buildings that have become vacant due to the constant influx of new structures across the city of Manchester, the project being called Vacant Spaces. I’m looking to continue this project beyond university and take it with me through the next stages of my professional career.
